News: Last Year’s Oris Aquis Date Featuring The Caliber 400 Has Shrunk
Last year, Oris released its Aquis Date with a shiny new in-house movement—and now it’s back, but smaller. To the excitement of those with wrists on the smaller side—myself included—the new Oris Aquis Date Caliber 400 is now available in a 41.5mm size, dropping 2mm off of its predecessor.
But it’s not just the size that’s different with this model either. The new, smaller Aquis Date Caliber 400 now comes in three new colours: blue, anthracite, or green—each model with matching ceramic bezel inserts.
Yes, it’s still the same watch, but hey, that’s not a bad thing. When I wrote the article last year, I said that this watch was a “game-changer for mechanical watches”—and I stick by that. The Aquis Date Caliber 400 is a great watch with a brilliant little in-house movement. Who wouldn’t want a reliable, long-lasting luxury watch that doesn’t cost an arm or a leg?
